Honeythief

the hare who robbed the hive

Classic ยท Powdered Floral

The bees he robbed were not ordinary bees. They kept their hive in the walled garden of a grand old house and fed on nothing but May rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang, so their honey came out powdered and bright, like light through a chandelier. Honeythief tipped the skep at dawn, ate with both paws, and walked away smelling less like a hare and more like a duchess. He has never once said sorry. He has also never smelled of anything else since, which he considers a fair trade. Honeythief is that stolen elegance, bottled: sparkling aldehydes over rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang, settling into sandalwood and vanilla.
